Making Studies for FEMA More Effective Using Hands-On Approach

We need to translate what's being done in studies for FEMA into actual concrete results. I would suggest, making a collection of all the studies and evaluating how to put them into practice. Evaluating also, how critical or useful are the results of the studies and how they can be used in a hands-on approach to solving actual real problems faced by FEMA. Also, to evaluate how much money should be spent on studies, and what those studies need to yield as effective results. -June R Massoud, Computer Engineer

  1. Great idea ! However FEMA is ahead of the curve on this topic. It is called 'LESSONS-LEARNED' and 'BEST-PRACTICES'. Componding these are the 'STANDARDS' procedure. Plans, equipment, training, and exercises are shifted, revised, and updated to accomodate these improvements and are being evaluated by FEMA on an ongoing bases.
