The six strategic needs identified under this category include the following:
1. Get someone to write a software program that fits your needs and share it with all agencies.
2. I would think you could do this with a software program and assign users based on areas or agencies. Then when needed let everyone see the big picture.
3. Write API’s or DI’s (application interfaces/Data interfaces) that pull the data from what is out there and integrate it into a software that shows it.
4. Pick a software program that best fits the needs and create users. Each city, county, region, state or agency can access the information either locally or on a larger scale if needed.
5. Knowing where the assets are now, is crucial in planning before the event, during the event, and afterwards. Pick a software program that can interface with the data and show you where it is when you need it.
6. Start the demo process. There are so many different solutions out there. If you do not find one you like, have someone design it. Influence the development yourself!
