By opening more recovery data to the public, we can leverage the private sector through competitions with prizes to create innovative applications that would not only help our survivors find more resources more easily, but also assist our Disaster Surivor Assistance Teams in accomplishing their mission on the ground. Mobile is the future, and FEMA's software infrastructure must catch up in that regard. Examples would include Rental Resources, Hotel Resources, and more.
