Take advantage of post- incident heightened awareness, focusing on the opportunity to exploit mitigation. Build on marketing or advertising experience thus far “See something, say something” is easy to remember and has borne some fruit and it will likely continue to be useful for suspicious activity and perhaps for some technical/accidental events when there may be warning signs of imminent system failure. I was thinking of something along the lines of:

1) KNOW (the risk/ hazards likely to affect your home/community)

2) (act to) PREVENT (injury to you, your family, and neighbors and reduce damage to your property and community)

3) PITCH IN (to clean up, repair and restore your home, business and community)

Find ways to discourage poor choices that put citizens at increased risk (rebuilding in flood plains, coastal area vulnerable to hurricanes, inadequate construction standards and building codes)
