The Ohio Safe Room Rebate Program provides a rebate for the purchase and construction of tornado safe rooms for Ohio homeowners selected for the program. Homeowners that are selected for the program are eligible for a rebate of 75% of the cost to construct a safe room, up to a maximum of $4,875. Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grants Forum
The purpose of this forum is to create a place to encourage communities to engage in hazard mitigation, promote project success stories, and share lessons learned from grant application, implementation, and closeout.
Representatives from communities at all levels including state, federal, local, tribal, non-governmental organizations, and the private sectorare encouraged to contribute information to assist counterparts across the country as they plan mitigation projects for their community. This can be a tremendous resource for those who are not well versed in the components of FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grant programs.

When map revisions are concurred to by a community, the submittal is sent to FEMA for review. Prior to FEMA approval there are usually cycles of comments and revisions which do not always involve the community.
